Academic Programs

Welcome to the Office of Academic Affairs

On behalf of our Board of Trustees, administration, faculty, staff, and student colleagues, I am pleased to welcome you to Academic Affairs at Santa Ana College.  Whether you are a visitor, one of our current students, or a future member of the College, I encourage you to peruse our website for more information about the innovative courses, programs, and student support currently offered to meet your educational goals.  Academic Affairs continues to promote student achievement and diversity through constant pedagogical refinement, self-evaluation, and technological development, adapting to the ever-changing economic climate of California.  Furthermore, we support the mission of the College by providing a lively environment for life-long learning and discovery, encourage the sharing of diverse thinking and expertise across the globe, and foster the next generation of leaders who understand the complexities of technology and society to meet the evolving challenges of the 21st century.

Academic Affairs at Santa Ana College offers a strong commitment to high-quality, affordable, lower division undergraduate education over a wide range of subjects.  We pride ourselves in selecting the best, most qualified faculty experts and support staff, so that our students engage in and embrace opportunities such as:

  • pathways to success
  • pedagogical innovation
  • quality online instruction
  • access to state-of-the-art emerging technologies
  • exposure to  high-demand career technical education and workforce development preparation
  • research and cooperative work experience
  • off-site training through criminal justice and fire academies

We are highly focused on serving the needs of the community, state, and nation by providing quality programs in an interdisciplinary environment that prepare students for transfer to a four-year college or university, entry into a technical or occupational program, and pursuit of a certificate program or Associates degree.

All of our work above (and more) is made possible through the generosity of our dedicated faculty and staff, community, industry partners, friends, volunteers, and donors, who support our endeavors while sustaining the growing core of the College.  We look forward to helping you become a part of the Santa Ana community, where what seems impossible becomes possible, and where you can achieve any academic or career goal that you set for yourself.  We look forward to partaking on this journey with you and thank you for selecting Santa Ana College.
