INCOMPLETE WORK
When a student has attended regularly but because of illness or
other unavoidable circumstances is unable to complete coursework
or take the final examination, a grade of “I” may be given. If an “I” is
issued, the instructor completes the Incomplete Grade Form which
includes the condition(s) for removal of the “I”, and the grade to be
assigned if the condition(s) are not completed. A student may not
register in some classes if an incomplete grade is pending. The work thus missed must be made up no later than one year following the
end of the term in which it was assigned. A student may petition for
a time extension due to unusual circumstances. It is the student’s
responsibility to contact the college Admissions and Records Office
in such cases.
A final grade will be assigned when the work stipulated has been
completed and evaluated according to the conditions set forth by the
instructor or when the time limit for completing the work has passed.
