Here's what you need:
- Be at least 17 and a half years old
- Enroll in Continuing Education (if you're not already a student)
- Not have a high school diploma or GED
- Read, write, and speak English
Most students who participate in dual enrollment are enrolled in either our High School Diploma or High School Equivalency program. Both are great options to finish high school. 🎓

Complete a Santa Ana College Application on your own or make an appointment with the SAC Dual Enrollment Office to assist you with the application.

No. If you have a high school diploma or GED/HiSET certificate, you can apply for the college, but not the Adult Dual Enrollment Program.
We recommend that you have good knowledge of the language. All courses will be taught in English. Students are expected to understand, read, and write in the language. If you are not sure, speak to a counselor for more information.
Dual Enrollment students can take up to 11 units (about three classes) for Fall and Spring. For the winter intersession, students can take up to six units (about two classes). In the Summer, students can take up to 9 units (about three classes). This also depends on class availability. Students cannot exceed the units since it will disqualify them from the program.
