Our classes are 100% free, funded by the State of California to help adults build skills and advance their careers. For some in-person classes, an optional textbook may be recommended.

You will practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing - everything you need to understand others, express yourself, and communicate with confidence in real life. 😎

These classes are designed specifically for adults. Many of our students haven't been to school in a long time, so you will be learning alongside people who share your experience.

All of our teachers are California-certified to teach English to adults. They come from diverse backgrounds and are patient, caring, and supportive. No matter your level, you are welcome here.

Online learning doesn't mean learning alone! Most online classes have two important parts:

• Live Classes on Zoom: Meet, talk, and learn with your teacher and classmates in real time.
• Assignments in Canvas: Complete online assignments between classes. Your teacher will grade them and give you personal feedback.

We offer a free English assessment and ESL orientations to help you find the perfect class level. You can also schedule a one-on-one appointment with our counseling department for personalized support.

• No computer? We can loan you one for free.
• New to technology? We will teach you everything from turning on the computer to joining Zoom.
