Headings
Headings are important to accessibility because they help provide a more efficient means of navigating and understanding content for people who are not able to see the information. They provide two benefits:
- Provides an outline
- Provides quick navigation points for users to jump to various sections and sub-sections of your Canvas page.
Headings can be detected by assistive technologies (and other technologies like the Google search bots). Assistive Technologies can then present the user with a list of headings that both informs the user about the content on the page, and also provides an efficient way of jumping to the content they are interested in.
