Santa
Ana College is committed to fostering a sense of inclusion and community, as
well as facilitating a culture of respect on campus and in the classroom by
ensuring that your name is pronounced correctly. Santa Ana College is
partnering with NameCoach, an easy-to-use app, to help the SAC community learn
how to say your name correctly.
What is NameCoach?
NameCoach
is an easy-to-use tool that allows students, faculty, and administrators to
record how their name should be pronounced, identify their personal gender
pronouns, as well as hear how others’ names should be
pronounced. NameCoach allows users to easily record the correct
pronunciation of their name using a computer, tablet, or mobile device.
The voice-recorded pronunciations are available to faculty and students, in
the courses in Canvas where the instructor has chosen to enable NameCoach, as a
resource to learn how to pronounce names correctly.
