What is an electronic badge?
An electronic badge is a validated digital indicator of a learning outcome, competency, skill or accomplishment that can be accessed, displayed, shared, and verified online. Badges are linked to metadata that provide context and verification. Santa Ana College uses Acclaim electronic badges to verify completion of certain online workshops.
How can I earn an electronic badge?
Santa Ana College awards electronic badges as verification of completion for certain online workshops. Each eligible workshop will have information about the specific requirements or components that must be completed in order to earn the electronic badge (certificate). For example, you may be asked to take quizzes or submit an assignment. If you have any questions about whether or not you have earned a badge, check the gradebook to ensure that you have completed all of the requirements. If all the requirements have been completed, contact the instructor of the workshop.
While electronic badges do auto-award based on the completion of the requirements, it is not instantaneous. It is a process that may take up to
48 hours or more. Earners will be notified via Email as soon as the badge has awarded.
