Santa Ana College Chamber Orchestra: Carnival of the Animals!

The Santa Ana College Chamber Orchestra presents a very special concert in collaboration with the Santa Ana High School Orchestra. the Santa Ana College Foundation, and musicians from our local community.  On the program is The Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns, a humorous musical suite in fourteen movements. Come and hear his masterpiece of fantastic musical depictions of lions, elephants, tortoises, kangaroos, a swan, and the like. Our own Dr. Annebelle Nery, President of Santa Ana College, will provide narration with whimsical poetry by Ogden Nash. We’ll have four pianists performing along with the orchestra in this musical flight of fancy. Also on the program is Chopin’s Piano Concerto #1, Mvt. 1 performed by faculty member Jungwon Jin, and a new piece, Pax Vobiscum (Peace Be with You), by Brian Kehlenbach. We hope to see you there for this festive event!

Don Mariachi Concert

The SAC “Don” Mariachi Ensemble as will perform a diverse and wide range of musical genres and performance styles such as: Son, Jalisciense, Ranchera, Bolero, and Huapango. Santa Ana College’s Don Mariachi will showcase traditional and regional music featuring compositions of musical icons and major composers of mariachi music. We will be performing the music of Jose Alfredo Jimenez, Ruben Fuentes and Juan Gabriel, to name a few!

Parking Permits: All vehicles parked at Santa Ana College must have a parking permit (student, staff or guest) Guest parking permits are available at kiosk for $2.00 a piece.

Late Comer Seating: Please be on time. It is the policy of Santa Ana College Theatre staff to seat latecomers only when there is a convenient break in the performance.
