These courses prepare you for Santa Ana College's Welding Technology Program. Get prepared for entry-level employment in the welding technology field. You will learn shop safety, the proper use of tools and equipment. Practice various welding processes used in the welding and metal fabrication industry. Processes include Oxy-fuel cutting, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW).
Take High School Math 160 for College and Career Readiness. This course will help you learn and apply basic math skills to welding technology.
Take VBUS 243 Introduction to Customer Service Skills, VBUS 400 Employability Skills, or ESL 520 English for Work 2. These classes teach soft skills that help in any welding technology job.
