      ​​​​​​​​​​​​Train to become​ a Caregiver or Personal Aide! ​​​

      Overview​​

      ​This program prepares you to assist the elderly, convalescents, or persons with disabilities with daily living
      activities at the person's home or in a care facility. In a simulated caregiving environment, you will gain
      experience performing caregiver duties, which may include nutrition, cleanliness, ambulation, and household
      activities.​​​

      ​

      ​​​Certifica​te Requirements

      Students must pass BOTH of the following courses:
      VHLTH109​ - Introduction to Caregiving
      VHLTH​110 - Caregiver Training
      Must complete Introduction to Caregiving (VHLTH109) to register.

      Students must pass ONE of the following courses:
      VBUS400 - Employability Skills
      ESL520 - VESL English for Work 2

      Participation Requirements​​
      • You must be 18 or older and living in California to register for this class. ​​
