Whether you are a beginner, or expert with needle and thread, these courses will enable you to learn and develop a firm foundation of hand embroidery stitches. Hand Embroidery is an art form with a long history and a rich global heritage. By working through categories of stitch types in each course you will:
- create your own colorful stitch notebook packed full of information, and
- develop skills that will enable you to create artwork, craft one-of-a-kind gifts,
- and embellish clothing and home accessories.
Project ideas will be provided.

Learn Hand Embroidery stitches and create your own colorful stitch reference notebook! You will be on the road to creating stitched artwork, crafting one-of-a-kind gifts, and embellishing clothing and home accessories.

One Stitch at a Time - Part 2
If you have taken One Stitch at a Time – Part 1 or are familiar with basic hand embroidery stitches, this course is for you! Continue to learn Hand Embroidery stitches and create a second colorful stitch reference notebook. You will be well on your way to creating stitched artwork, crafting one-of-a-kind gifts, and embellishing clothing and home accessories.

Marilu Morency
After having earned degrees from Fashion Institute of Technology, in Manhattan, New York, Marilu Morency's background includes textile art and design, as well as jewelry and accessory design and manufacturing. She been a magazine contributor and award recipient of local and national juried shows for her paintings, mixed media pieces, and beadwork.
In addition to gallery and custom work, Marilu finds joy in promoting the art of beading and needlework through teaching others and encouraging them to find their own creative voice.
