Working with a foam roller allows us to massage and stretch muscles in a way that promotes greater flexibility, strength, pain reduction from old injuries or arthritis, reduce arthritis pain and help with an overall feeling of wellness.
This class will also provide information the latest topics in Wellness.
Wednesday: 9:00 to 11:00AM
Round Foam Roller (softer foam rollers are suggested for beginners and are usually lighter in color.) Foam rollers can be purchased on Amazon for $10 and can be found at many stores including Walmart, Target & T.J Max/Marshalls.
Exercise band 3-5 foot (optional) a bath towel can be substituted
Lisa has worked with older adults in Orange County since 1996 and has taught multiple types of Health and Wellness and fitness classes at Santiago Canyon College and North Orange Community College since 2001. She has also worked as a Master Certified Personal Trainer since 2003. Lisa obtained her B.S. in Kinesiology and focused on Gerontology at California State University at Fullerton, where she interned in the senior fitness and balance and mobility programs. Lisa holds five national certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine, P.F.I.T, and the CHEK Institute. Lisa's passion is helping people to maintain the highest quality of life possible, for as long as possible, while reducing the risk of injury through performance enhancement and corrective exercise.
