The class will be taught by song. We will be singing and playing songs on guitar from a beginning level.
- Students will learn 15 chords and perform songs from country, blues, rock and pop categories.
- The history of musical genres will be examined and the story behind each song we perform will be told.
- Comprehensive Method using the left hand to form chords and the right hand strumming different patterns will be implemented.
Playing music will provide a sense of accomplishment, the learning of a new skill and you will become a musician !!!

Guitar Spanish Classical guitar will have nylon strings and will be easier on your fingers. The fingerboard and neck of a nylon string guitar are thicker because more notes are fingered on a Spanish Classical guitar. An Acoustic guitar will have steel strings and be a bit painful when you first learn. After six days of continuing practice the pain is gone. Robert “Bob” Wilson has a Bachelor of Music from USC . Besides guitar he is proficient in the brass instruments, bass guitar, mandolin and ukulele. As a native Southern Californian he enjoys lap Swimming, travelling, studying history, and collecting musical instruments.
