Santa Ana College is proud to offer innovative registered apprenticeship pathways designed to prepare aspiring educators through structure on the job training and academic instruction. Our programs allow apprentices to gain real world experience, earn wages, and complete college coursework at the same time. Through strong employer partnerships and dedicated student support, apprentices build meaningful careers while making an impact in their communities.

Early Childhood Education Apprenticeship Program (ECEAP)

Program length: 18 months

Application accepted:  Spring and Fall semesters

Prepare for careers in infant, toddler, and preschool education serving children ages 0-6.   Develop the skills needed to support young leaners and families.

  • Curriculum planning
  • Classroom Management
  • Inclusive teaching practices
  • Family engagement

Career Pathways: 

  • Preschool Teacher Assistant
  • Associate Teacher
  • Preschool Teacher

Bilingual Educator Apprenticeship Program (BEAP)

Program length:  24 months

Application accepted:  Fall semester

Designed for future Bilingual educators who want to support multilingual learners in afterschool and school-aged settings.

What you will learn:

  • Culturally responsive teaching
  • Language development
  • Reading, writing and speaking
  • Student engagement
  • After school program leadership
  • Lesson planning

Career Pathways:

  • Instructional Assistant
  • Expanded Learning Educator
  • Instructional Provider

  3. After attending the informational session, you will be provided with application information

  • Legal right to work in the United States

  • Must be a Santa Ana College student and willing to enroll in all required coursework.

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • High school diploma or equivalent (BEAP)

  • Government-issued ID

  • Required immunizations

  • Health screening/ TB assessment
