Our Mission

OUR MISSION...The Santa Ana College Dance Department is dedicated to empowering all students to discover the artist within and share their passion for dance. We nurture creativity, joy, and personal expression while providing focused guidance that supports academic excellence, artistic growth, and the pursuit of lifelong learning.

Our program serves students with diverse goals—whether transferring to a four-year university, earning a certificate of achievement, exploring professional pathways in dance, or simply seeking connection through movement and community. We invite you to join us in an inclusive, dynamic environment where movers become artists, artists find their voices, and together we connect, grow, and inspire.

Pathways of Success

The SAC Dance Department is noted for the breadth of its curriculum and the individualized attention given to students' training. The department is dedicated to serving its students by educating and ​encouraging them to accomplish academic, degree, and life-learning goals. We cherish the long-standing relationships we have with our neighboring colleges and institutions abroad and many of our graduates transfer to reputable and prestigious 4-year university dance programs such as CSU Fullerton​, CSU Long Beach​, UC Irvine​, and Chapman University​.  Our dance majors also have successful performing, choreography, and teaching careers. Each step of the way, the SAC Dance Department leads its students to a pathway of success!

Auditions are not required for admission into the department, but auditions are required for all dance concert productions. Proficiency levels are required for course completion.
