Online Pathways

Our pathways are designed for students planning to transfer to a CSU campus.  Other colleges and universities may have similar course requirements for their majors, however they may not be identical. Students should discuss that once they meet with the Online Degree Pathway Counselor.

Fees for the program are listed on the SAC Admissions and Records fees page, the cost is listed as a per unit price, so cost is dependent on how many units you have left to complete the program.

• Textbooks and supplies must be purchased by the student.
• Special material Fees required for certain courses are indicated in the class schedule.

• You will need regular access to a laptop or desktop computer to give you the best opportunity to succeed. Mobile devices alone may not be sufficient to complete the program and many course assignments may require you to use a computer to complete and submit your assignments.
• Laptops and hot spots are not provided.

• Our program requires full-time attendance, but if you are interested in taking online classes part-time, all 8-week online courses are open to ALL students.

• Priority registration (you get to register before most students) and every semester when it’s time to register, you will get emailed with the exact course sections to register for, so you know you’re enrolling the right sections. 
• One point of contact (the Student Support Services Program Specialist) for any questions you have throughout your time at SAC. 
• A designated counselor while you’re in the ODP.
• We provide a cap/gown/custom Online Degree Pathway graduation stole for the Commencement ceremony. 

Prior coursework may be considered for graduation requirements.

We do need all transcripts since once you transfer, your cumulative (overall GPA from all schools attended) is what’s considered by other colleges when you apply and many programs require a 2.5 minimum GPA.

Our program is designed for students to transfer in two years, but it could take less than two years if prior coursework from other institutions counts towards your degree.

California State University Online (CSU Online)

CSU Online offers fully online  and hybrid Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs across the California State University system. Students completing an Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) through the Online Degree Pathway may be eligible to continue their education online at participating CSU campuses. Programs vary by campus and major, so students are encouraged to explore options early and connect with a counselor for transfer planning.
