Location:

Description:

Get ready for a true Old West experience! Enjoy an authentic chuck wagon meal, accompanied by the sounds of live western music and spectacular panoramic views of the Coachella Valley. The delicious included lunch includes beef tri-tip, barbecued chicken, cowboy beans, coleslaw, garlic bread, apple pie and lemonade. We'll then board a mule-drawn covered wagon for a fun and fascinating narrated journey through the pristine 30,000-acre Coachella Valley Desert Preserve. There's no better way to experience the desert than out on the trail - just like the early settlers did! While drawing our wagon across long-established desert trails, on this unique adventure our knowledgeable, naturalist guide will provide incredible insight into the desert plant life, natural oases, reptiles and the geology of the San Andreas Fault. The wagon has padded seats and rubber tires for a smooth, comfortable experience. We return to camp for included s'mores and hot chocolate around an open camp fire - the perfect conclusion to a memorable experience. No visit to the Coachella Valley is complete without a stop at Hadley Fruit Orchards. Founded in 1931, this southern California landmark has provided a friendly place to shop for premium quality Medjool dates, dried fruit, nuts, hand mixed trail mixes, honey, preserves, freshly-ground peanut butter and a variety of gifts. Head to the snack bar for the beloved date shake!
