Description:

Let's dance to the sounds of the ocean and drumbeats of the island! Learn basic steps and choreography of Hula/Tahitian dance in a beginner friendly class for ages 16 and up. Kanaka Makua will learn fundamentals of Polynesian dance and a Hawaiian oli (chant). Dancers will be taught to understand the story we tell with the steps we take and the hand motions we make while dancing. Come ready for barefoot dancing in comfortable clothing. Sarong wraps will be provided by the instructor. No Class 7/2
