Assisting Distressed Students


Faculty and staff play a central role in a student's college experience and are in a direct position to become aware when a student is distressed. As a faculty or staff member, you have numerous opportunities to interact with students. At times you will have contact with students whose problems or behaviors may cause you concern, discomfort, or may interfere with your work or the education of other students. Psychological Services is here to help you in these situations. The brochure below provided is to help you identify student concerns, how to respond, and how to utilize campus resources to address these issues.
