I began my career at SAC as part of the Transfer Center Staff right out of graduate school. I left briefly, but returned to SAC in my current position in November 2000. I have often said that SAC represents “A Fountain of Hope”. This college is special because of the individuals who chose to work here and most importantly, the students who trust us with their hopes and dreams. It’s an honor and privilege (and a ton of fun) to work alongside so many passionate and dedicated people and to serve such amazing students.

I love interacting with students and providing them with the guidance needed to complete their educational goals. During my 25 years of teaching, advising, and program development in K-12, at universities and community colleges, I have relayed and related my own experiences to help students achieve their goals. It has been a great experience working at Santa Ana College for the past 5 years and serving our hard working and dedicated students.

I started my career at SAC in August 2016. In my brief time here, I've witnessed SAC go through a few transformations, from the construction of new buildings to the adoption of Guided Pathways. Yet, the most fulfilling transformations to witness are those of our students who aspire to reach their dreams despite adversity they may encounter along the way. I am honored to be part of that journey with our students and welcome any opportunity to lend a helping hand or a listening ear because, for me, being part of this community means sharing in your passions and doing what I can to help you pursue them.

I came back to study at Santa Ana College because I wanted to be immersed in my community while giving back and empowering students to achieve their goals. As a born and raised Santanero, I was shaped by the experiences our community faced that eventually motivated me to make a difference for underrepresented communities. I enjoy working at the Center because I'm able to help my peers and be a part of their journey and the legacy of future educators that represent our community. As an advocate for LGBTQIA+, Neurodiversity, and QTBIPOC communities, I strive for equity, diversity, and inclusivity in all spaces to promote success and representation for minority groups.
