Faculty of the Year.
has been a tireless advocate for our students, the Business Division
and BATs department for the past 26 years as a faculty member and most
recently as acting Department Chair.
is currently serving as the Senior Adjunct Academic Senator and is a
member of the Marketing, Social Media and SACTAC committees.
was one of the lead faculty members responsible for the redesign of the
Academic Computer Center and is the liaison to our community partners,
We are lucky to have a dedicated colleague and amazing faculty member.

SAC Alumni and current IB
students joined the 450 business and government leaders from across
Orange County at the third annual OC World Trade Week Forum. The SAC IB
program received a shout out from Jim Mayfield, Director of the OC US
Department of Commerce Export Assistance Center, for the amazing interns
that have been and are working in their offices. In addition, Genesis
Lovo was honored by OC Women in International Trade as a 2017
First Careers in Accounting &
On Thursday, May 11th
140 SAC students gathered for the first Careers in Accounting &
Business Forum. Spearheaded by Prof. Mark McCallick, students learned
about the opportunities, challenges and rewarding careers in the field
from guest speakers, John Pollara and Cate Long of the Institute of
Management Accountants, Taryn Hoffman-Torres of Cal CPA, Tim Bilotta and
Dennis Jones representing the Internal Revenue Service and Christine
Keleman and Jenny Tran from the CSUF Accounting Society.
Careers in Accounting & Business Forum was supported by a
Leave-A-Legacy grant. A special thank you to Prof. McCallick and the
dedicated Professors in the Accounting & Finance/Business
Administration department, Jinhee Trone, Tommy Strong and Linda Sung for
their hard work in making this event a huge success.
