BA Degrees and Certificates for Business & Technology Skills
The BA Department provides professional training in business and computer skills based on current industry standards and technology which are required in any department within any type of company.

General Business Applications and
Technology Program
Designed to prepare students for employment as an administrative
professional for any size company, from small business offices to large
corporations.
Microsoft Office Professional Program
Provides students training in the proper use and business standards using
Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access).
Microsoft Office skills are required for all business career positions from
administrative support to executive management.
Digital Publishing (Adobe) Program
Professional training in all aspects of designing and publishing print and web
business projects based on current business industry standards and technology.
Adobe Creative Cloud software is available in the classroom and in the computer
lab. Instruction includes digital graphics, web design, page layout,
typography, export files, proper file setup, integration of Adobe software,
design guidelines, and professional shortcuts and design tips. Adobe is not
just for graphic designers anymore – many positions in a company now require
Adobe knowledge and skills.
Office Management Program
Students develop business skills and gain knowledge required for career
opportunities for supervisor and management positions in any corporation.
Instruction includes computer training, administrative office management,
office procedures, job search, professional image, business writing, and
corporate skills based on current business industry standards and requirements.
Spanish/English Interpretation & Translation Program
The business community in Orange County needs bilingual interpreters and translators
to satisfy the community needs and Constitutional mandates that require
certified bilingual interpreter services to courts, victims, and defendants for
arraignments, pretrial, preliminary hearings, depositions, trials, witnesses
statements, etc. Government and private industry need interpreters to service
the growing Spanish population demand in Orange County in the medical, legal,
and general business areas. This program provides professional training to
become certified a Spanish/English interpreter and translator.
