Student Requirements

To qualify for the SAC Online Degree Pathway program, students MUST :

1. Complete the Online Degree Pathway Inquiry Form
2. Apply to Santa Ana College to obtain a Student ID for counseling and placement exam app​oi​ntments
​3. Math and English Placement
If you have not taken a college level math course, or have not taken the SAC Math Placement test:
  • Prepare for the Math Placement test (see "Student Preparation")
  • Take the English and Math Placement tests
​4. ​If you are a NEW student to SAC, attend the SAC New Student Orientation and Advisement Session
5. If you are an attending SAC student, meet with a counselor for an Education Plan for the Online Pathway
Please request an appointment with one of the following Online Degree Pathway counselors: Dennis Sadler, Joanna Campos, Sherri Blake or Robert Gallego (714) 564-6100.
Work with your counselor to develop your Math Prerequisite plan
*Scan and send a copy of your Education Plan to the Distance Education office
6. Complete the SAC Student Online Orientation on Blackboard
7. Complete the Bb Basics for Students course module on Blackboard
8. Agree to take courses in the prescribed semester and order
9. Attend the Mandatory On-Campus Pathway Student Orientation
10. Attend at least two Online Degree Pathway activities/mixers per year (Some are offered during semester breaks!  You’ll want to attend all of them!)
