ROLE OF THE INTER-CLUB
COUNCIL
According to the ICC
Constitution and By-Laws, the mission of the Inter-Club Council is to:
1. Regulate and
support all clubs/organizations of Santa Ana College.
2. Coordinate and
approve club activities.
3. Provide a
communication network between clubs and campus
organizations.
4. Act as a
resource for clubs, particularly in the areas of organization,
problem solving,
membership promotion and fundraising.
5. Promote and
maintain club support and participation of all Associated
Student Government
sponsored events.
6. Provide
a forum for expressing the interests of club
Requirements of ICC
It is important that
there be a representative of each club at every ICC meeting and sponsored
event. Failure to have a representative at two consecutive meetings or at
five during the course of the semester will result in disciplinary action by
the ICC. One possible outcome would be to have a club declared inactive.
When this happens, a club will be denied activities, meetings, publicity and
access to funds.
For whatever reason,
ICC representatives sometimes forget that part of their role is to carry the
information that they receive at the ICC meetings back to their clubs and
advisors and vice versa. This lack of communication loop could result in
either minor or major problems.
The Inter-Club
Council meets every Thursday at 1:30pm in U-106. Then ICC Office is located
in U-121G. The ICC Executive Office is located in U-121F and can be reached
at (714) 564-6324.
