.INTER-CLUB COUNCIL ANNUAL EVENTS
The following
activities are designed to promote your club, gain new members and provide a
club with fundraising opportunities:
CLUB RUSH:
This event is specifically designed to recruit new members and raise money.
Club Rush usually occurs the 3rd or 4th week of the fall and spring
semesters.
HOMECOMING:
This is an opportunity to contribute to the development of school spirit and
may provide fundraising opportunities. While the dates for this event
change yearly with the football schedule, Homecoming is generally at the end
of October or beginning of November. This is a special time to have old
friends come back to our campus and share in the festivities.
FOOD/CLOTHING
DRIVE: The month of November is the time that we begin thinking how
thankful we are for the things we have and for those who are less
fortunate. This drive is to collect food, clothing, blankets and anything
else that our students and community members need. The donations are given
out a few days prior to Thanksgiving.
TOY DRIVE:
This event is similar to the previous event in that we collect for the less
fortunate, but this time it is extra special because our donations go to
children. Santa makes a special visit and passes out our donations to
children.
SPRINGFEST:
This is a spring version of Homecoming. Once again, it is a week to
fundraise and celebrate. This event generally occurs towards the end of
March or the beginning of April.
ICC AWARDS &
RECOGNITION BANQUET: This is the time for club advisors, club
presidents and ICC representatives to come together to celebrate and
recognize various accomplishments that were achieved during the academic
year. Recognition is given to ICC representatives for their dual role and
service to both their club and ICC. In addition, rewards are given for
"Advisor of the Year", "Club President of the Year", "ICC Rep. of the Year"
and "Club of the Year." This event is a special time to gather for one last
time before many of our student leaders graduate and move on to pursue other
educational or vocational aspirations. |
