Rancho Santiago Community College District recognizes that, as a result of
financial need, language limitations, and academic challenges, some
students need additional assistance to succeed in college. EOPS is a state
funded program designed to provide student support services to full-time
students.
The program is geared to assist students who have financial
barriers, are challenged by academic under-preparedness or whose primary
language is not English. Students who meet eligibility criteria will be
provided with the following services: specialized academic, career and
personal counseling, book services, parking pass or bus pass, grants,
tutoring, priority registration, transfer assistance, financial aid
application assistance, and special activities and workshops.
Additionally, EOPS provides comprehensive retention services that include:
counseling, tutoring, and instruction.
EOPS is funded to supplement "over
and above" the general services offered by the college.
Book services which do not require
repayment are available to students who are
EOPS eligible and active EOPS
students.
