Our Child Development Center  has earned accreditation from the
National Association of the Education of Young Children-the nation's leading organization of early childhood professionals.  NAEYC Accreditation lets families in our community know that children in our program are getting the best care and learning experiences

Research shows that the first five years are the most crucial time for learning. Choosing a quality Early Childhood Education Program is one of the most important decisions you will make for your child.

The CENTENNIAL EDUCATION CENTER is located in beautiful Centennial Park in Santa Ana.  We are licensed by the Department of Social Services to serve 86 children.  We offer a developmental early childhood education program for student's children age 2 1/2  to 5 with fees based on a sliding scale according to income, and State Preschool for 3 and 5 year olds.   To be eligible for State Preschool, the family must meet the California Department of Education Child Development  income guidelines.

Parent Involvement

We believe that when parents are involved in their child's school, everyone benefits and it gives the child a sense of pride in what their parent contributes. At CEC, we offer many opportunities for parents to be involved in the children's program.

Hours of Operation

Our program follows the Continuing Education Instructional Calendar of Rancho Santiago Community College District.  The center will be closed when classes at C.E.C are not in session.

Monday through Friday

7:30-4:00pm

State Preschool Hours are:

Monday through Friday

AM Session: 8:00-11:15

PM Session: 12:15-3:30pm

The Centennial Center is...

Creating, exploring, discovering, experimenting, making choices, problem solving, organizing and structuring materials, building and testing relationships in a non-threatening environment.  It is a place where each child grows toward self-assurance, self-reliance, self-determination.

This happens in a facility which is totally responsive to the needs of the young child.  With a staff who work and think together with professional integrity and true caring.
