Join CalWORKs for your Kid's SakeRancho Santiago Community College District (RSCCD), through its two colleges, Santa Ana College (SAC) and Santiago Canyon College (SCC), provides a comprehensive program of instruction and student support services for CalWORKs participants. 

The CalWORKs program's short-term program goal is to prepare participants to move into unsubsidized employment and its long term goal is to prepare them to take active control of their lives and management of their work careers. 

RSCCD  program services include case management, vocational training, child care, work experience, job services, and student support services.

Vocational instruction is augmented by basic skills upgrading through the Success Center, and employability skills training and esteem building through special workshops and classes.

Case management is available for all CalWORKs clients referred by the Orange County and Los Angeles County Social Services Agency to any 
of the programs or campuses in the district.

Child care services currently available in the District are augmented by the District's Child Development Program.  Operational hours are Monday through Friday (Monday through Thursday in summer) at multiple locations and through off campus licensed care providers.  Some locations have limited services on Friday.

 
Two GirlsJob Development and Placement

Work Experience and Permanent Job Placement Services

Work experience positions supplement the participant's classroom learning with related worksite educational and training experiences.

Permanent Job Placement for CalWORKs participants includes job development and placement. Available services are: resume writing, interview preparation,  
and job listing referrals.

Adult and Child HandsStudent Support Services

RSCCD college support services for CalWORKs include, but are not limited to: EOPS/CARE Programs, career assessment, Disabled Student Programs & Services (DSP&S), psychological services, Health Center, Success Center, tutoring, and the Career/Job Resource Center.
