Course Description

Emphasizes application of nursing process.  Stresses RN role development, test-taking strategies, medication administration, calculations, and bridges entrance into the RN program.  Open to all nursing students; required for advanced placement.  Open entry/open exit.

The following is a conservative list of recommendations for using Blackboard

• Platform: Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT, or ME; MacOS 9 or MacOS X
• Hardware: 64 MB of RAM, 1 G of free disk space
• Software: Microsoft Word & Power point,  Adobe Acrobat Reader
• Browser: Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox JavaScript & Cookies must be enabled.
• Modem: 56 K

You will need to have prior Internet and E-mail experience before you take this course.  If you do not have access to a computer, you may use the Academic Computing Center or Library during their operating hours.  The resources in these labs meet the course resource requirements and there is technical support available.
