Course Description
This online course is a Federal and California Income Tax course that
provides instruction on individual income tax return preparation and some
basic tax theories. Includes Schedules A, B, C, D, E, and common
adjustments. The course will include gross income, business and self-employed expenses,
retirement plans, itemized deductions, capital gains and losses and tax
credits. Also included are sessions on California income tax return
preparation and certain adjustments. The California Tax Education Council
(CTEC) has approved this course and as such, the successful completion of
this course will give the students the minimum qualifications to apply for
the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs license as tax
preparers. Successful completion requires that the student be enrolled in
Accounting 104 and earn a grade of C (70%) or better.
