These quizzes and the
related responses are the property of Cerro Coso College.
Participation/Attendance, and Exams
Students enrolling in online courses will
have the opportunity to complete most of their course work outside of the
classroom, although some classes combine mandatory on campus meetings with
online instruction. On campus meeting dates are listed for most classes.
Students may access course materials via the Internet either at home or using an
on campus computer. Students are required to log onto the class website
and email the instructor during the first week of the class or they may be
dropped from the class roster. A Santa Ana College instructor will be
available on campus, by phone, or email to answer questions or discuss course
material during the course.
Wait Lists
Students on wait
lists must email the instructor the first week of class to be
considered for enrollment.
Access Requirements
You must Email your
instructor the first week of class. Be sure to
log in to Blackboard as soon
as you receive your course access letter from the Distance Education Office.
Online courses require students to
have access to a computer with an individual Email account and Internet access. Internet access is
also available to students in the Santa Ana
College Academic Computing Center, located in the Cesar Chavez Building (A-106),
the Business Division Computer Labs (A-104, A-108), and the SAC Nealley Library.
Santa Ana College uses Blackboard for most of its online courses. Student
enrolled in most online classes will log on to :
http://rsccd.blackboard.com. Mac
users enrolling in Math classes should check computer
compatibility with online course program, MyMathLab, before
enrolling.
Technical Recommendations:
The following is a conservative list of recommendations for
using Blackboard
You will need to have prior Internet and E-mail experience before you
take this course. If you do not have access to a computer, you may
use the Academic Computing Center or Library during their operating
hours. The resources in these labs meet the course resource
requirements and there is technical support available.
