ACCESSING YOUR COURSE ONLINE

 In order to access course information, please follow these instructions:

1.  Using Netscape, Internet Explorer, or other browser, go to:                                 http://rsccd.blackboard.com.                                                                           This is the URL where your online course(s) information can be accessed. 

2.      Click on Login.

3.      Type in your Username.            The format for your username is:

• First 2 letters of your last name
• 2 digit day of your birth
• First letter of your first name
• Last 4 digits of your student number

Example:       John Doe, born September 22, 1980, student number 800123456 = do22j3456

Mai Nguyen, born June 1, 1984, student number 999654321 = ng01m4321

4.      Type in your Password.            The format for your password is:

• 2 digit day of your birth

• First 3 letters of your birth month with the FIRST letter capitalized

• Full birth year

Example:       John Doe’ password = 22Sep1980

                        Mai Nguyen’s password = 01Jun1984

***NOTE: DO NOT CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD***

If you had a Blackboard account a previous semester and changed your password, it will remain that new password and the format listed above will not allow you access to your account. 

It is VERY important that you enter an email address.

Please follow these instructions:

Click Login.

5.      The next screen will display “Santa Ana College,” the Home screen.  On the left side of the screen, you will see the heading “Tools”.

6.      Click on Personal Information.

7.      Click on Edit Personal Information. 

8.      Enter your correct e-mail address.  Scroll down and click on Submit.

9.      Click on OK

10. Return to the Home screen by clicking on “SAC”, located on the upper left-hand tab. 

11. On the right side of the screen, you will see the courses(s) in which you are                                   enrolled.

12. Click on the course you want to work on.
