General Tips
-
Label reference list, References.
-
Alphabetize reference lists by authors' last names.
-
Never use the full first name of an author. Use initials only.
-
If
you have more than one work by a particular author, list them by
publication date, oldest to newest (a 1991 article would appear before a
1997 article).
-
Use
"&" instead of "and" when listing more than one author of a single work.
-
Capitalize only the first word of a title and subtitle of a work.
-
Italicize titles of websites, books, and periodicals (magazines, journals,
newspapers).
-
If
your reference continues to a second line, double-space and use a hanging
indent for the second line and all subsequent lines.
