Library Computer and Internet Use Policy

PHILOSOPHY

A truly free society and the foundation of self-government requires access to information which presents all points of views.  Freedom of expression encompasses the freedom of speech and the corollary right to receive information.  Libraries and librarians exist to facilitate the exercise of these rights by selecting, producing, providing access to, identifying, retrieving, organizing, providing instruction in the use of, and preserving recorded expression regardless of the format or technology.  Among the Nealley Library faculty and librarians a conscientious effort will always be made to include resources concerning all sides of an issue. To insure this philosophy, the Nealley Library faculty and librarians affirm their acceptance of the principles enumerated in the Library Bill of Rights and its Interpretations as adopted by the American Library Association.
