Milestones Along the Path (MAP)
MAP Program Overview
In October 2003, Cal State Fullerton, Fullerton College, and Santa Ana
College were awarded a five-year grant from the U.S. Department of
Education to increase the numbers of highly qualified teachers in Orange
County. Our grant, Milestones Along the Path (MAP) assists students
by streamlining the transfer process from community colleges to Cal State
Fullerton, providing more on-campus resources and strengthening the
academic preparation of Orange County's future educators.
Pathways to Teachers
Students interested in obtaining a bachelors
degree and pursing a career in teaching in teaching have various pathways
available to them. Students interested in attending California State
Fullerton can prepare, apply, and begin directly out of high school.
Another option is to begin your education directly out of high school.
Another option is to begin your education at a California Community
College, such as Fullerton College or Santa Ana College. Students who
attend community colleges can take CSU equivalent coursework and then transfer
to California State Fullerton at the junior level.
