There
are two steps necessary to enroll in courses:
Step 1 is to apply for admission to
the college
Step 2 is to register for your classes.
Early
Registration for Continuing Students
You are a continuing student if you were enrolled in college credit
classes at Santiago Canyon College or Santa Ana College during one full-term semester (not summer) in the prior year.
Continuing students may complete
registration online or by telephone (eligibility requirements of continuing students are
defined in the early registration table). The priority system for
telephone registration is based on units earned at Santa Ana and
Santiago Canyon Colleges only (including
current enrollment through date as noted in the early registration table).
Use any computer or touchtone telephone
to enroll. For questions, call Admissions at SAC (714)
564-6005. Your registration appointment time can
be viewed using Online Records.

New
Student Transferring From Another College
If you have attended another college, especially another community
college, you must:
-
Bring any official copies of placement
test results in English, reading, and /or math to the Santa Ana College Testing Center
to determine whether it is advisable to complete additional placement
testing. Placement test
information from other colleges must include: your name, name of the test(s), the raw scores(s), and test date(s). Test scores for
English are valid for two years. Test scores for Math are valid
for one year.
-
Make an appointment to see a counselor
by calling the Santa Ana College Counseling Center at (714) 564-6100.
-
Bring an official
copy of your transcripts from other colleges and official copies of
any placement test results.
High School
Students in Career Advanced Placement Program (CAP)
CAP form for K-12
students. A
significant portion of the Rancho Santiago Community College District
curriculum is available to supplement programs of high school students
recommended by their counselors. Contact your high school counseling
office for details. Placement tests for Math and English are
required! CAP forms need the signatures of the the Principal and
parent. Also, a
dean's signature is required for each course.
Click here for a list of Division Deans.
NOTE: Please print and
complete three copies of this form.
CAP students with a principal's recommendation
and parent's signature must
register in person. Bring a copy of the CAP Form with you to the
registration site. YOU CAN ONLY REGISTER IN PERSON. Due
to a new state law CAP students who wish to take classes at a community
college must be assigned a low enrollment priority so as not to displace
regularly admitted students.
- New
Student
- You are a new student if you have never
enrolled in college credit classes at Santa Ana College.
-
New students receive appointments to register on a first-come,
first-served basis. All new students to SAC are encouraged to
complete matriculation services (testing, orientation, and
advisement). Upon completing testing, students will be given an
appointment to attend an orientation and advisement session with a
counselor. Students will receive their test results and their
appointment to register after completing orientation and advisement.
See the Placement Testing Schedule for further information.
