WEATHER FORECAST

Climate

Indonesia straddles the Equator, thus the climate in Indonesia is tropical, hot, humid all year; more moderate climate is found in the highlands.  There is little variation in temperature because of almost uniformly warm waters that are part of the archipelago.  In much of western Indonesia the dry season is June to September and the heavy rainy season is December to March.

Most of the lowlands have a daytime temperature range of 75 to 95°F and humidity around 75 percent.  Lower temperatures occur only in the mountainous areas.  The rainy season runs from September through February but sudden showers occur all year long.
