Santa Ana College Presents Three Weekends of Music Events

​Series begins this Friday, May 16 with Big Band Concert

Santa Ana (CA) - Santa Ana College (SAC ) will host a series of three weekend music events beginning this Friday, May 16 at 7:30 p.m. at Phillips Hall Theatre.

Music students, led by SAC faculty, will perform five concerts for the next three weekends as part of their spring concert series. All concerts will be held at Phillips Hall Theatre, 1530 W. 17th St. in the city of Santa Ana. The series includes:

Friday, May 16, 7:30 p.m.
Big Band Concert: An Evening of Jazz,
Featuring big band contemporary arrangements of jazz and popular standards
General Admission: $15

Sunday, May 18, 2:30 p.m.:
Concert Band & Chamber Orchestra Classics
Spring band and chamber orchestra presents an afternoon of enjoyable, traditional classics

Friday, May 23, 7:30 p.m.:
‘Don’ Mariachi: Music and Dance from Mexico
Featuring Ballet Folklorico Mexicanismo dancing to the regional music of Zacatecas, Yucatan, and Jalisco

Guitar Ensemble
Featuring an evening of romantic music arranged for guitar ensembles ranging from duos to a 16-member group
