Psychology 100, Introduction to Psychology - 3 Units
Addresses principles of research, perception, development, learning,
motivation, emotion, and abnormal behavior. Emphasizes application
of psychological principles to personal adjustment. Prerequisite
for other psychology courses. (I also teach this course with an
emphasis on Chicano issues and as part of a cohort under the Freshman
Experience Program)

170, Multicultural Psychology - 3 Units
Introduces students to important issues related to cultural diversity
in the field of psychology. Major areas of psychology will be
explored from a multicultural perspective, including research,
assessment and therapy, social psychology, child development, and
personality. Emphasis on specific historically under-represented
cultural groups residing in the U.S. Offered only during Fall.

Introduction to Research Methods in Psychology -
3 Units
Emphasizes methods of study in psychology, experimental designs,
analysis of variables contributing to experimental results, and data
treatment.
- Psychology 240,
Introduction to Social Psychology -
3 Units
An exploration of the interlocking dynamics of psychology and
sociology focusing on the impact of social groups on individuals on
groups. Content includes self-development, interaction, attitudes,
conformity, friendship, love, aggression, group dynamics. (Same as
Sociology 240.)
- Math / Social Science 219,
Statistics and Probability - 4 Units
Beginning course in statistics. Includes descriptive
statistics, probability, hypothesis testing, confidence limits,
regression, contingency tables, and non-parametric statistics.
