Program of Two Years

Completion of the
admission
prerequisites.

Admission into the Santa Ana
College Registered Nursing (RN) program at the first year of the program.
Option
II
L.V.N. to R.N., Academic
Program of One Year
Licensed Vocational
Nurses (LVNs) are admitted at the beginning of the second year of the
program depending upon space availability. Eligibility for the entry list
is based upon LVN
licensure and:

Completion of the program
admission
prerequisites.

College credit
granted for 18 units of LVN courses.
Completion of the Role
Transition course with "C" or better is required once on the
entry list.
Option
III
Thirty
(30) Unit Option (BRN Regulation 1429)
Information on the Thirty (30) Unit option is available
in the Nursing Department. Applicants interested in this option are required
to meet with the Director of Nursing/Health Sciences prior to admission.

Completion of the Role Transition course with
“C” or better is required once on the entry list.

Application for licensure as a Registered Nurse 30 unit
option requires California LVN licensure.
