SAC Guidelines for the TEAS

·         The SAC Nursing Department will contact prospective students regarding when it is their time to take the test. This usually occurs the semester before the students are to come into the program.

·         The Adjusted Individual Total Score for passing the TEAS exam for the SAC Nursing Program  is 67%.

·         If a student does not pass on their first attempt than they will need to remediate for at least 6 months using an approved remediation plan ( as given by the counselor), before they can retest.

·         If a student wishes to submit their score from another location other than SAC, they must request an official copy. You can request a copy from ATI by visiting their website at www.atitesting.com There is a link to have results sent directly to the SAC Nursing Department.

·         If a student wishes to enter after remediating, they must show proof of completion of their individual remediation plan, whether it was completed at Santa Ana College or someplace else.

There is no recency required for the assessment/readiness (TEAS) test. Colleges shall accept scores from previous assessment/readiness (TEAS) test taken at an outside location by an otherwise qualified student. The students shall have the responsibility to contact the test vendor and instruct the vendor to send his/her test results directly to the Nursing Program Director. Colleges should not accept unofficial copies of test results from students or other colleges.
