How to Register for Physical Ability Test
     

1. College Application http://www.sac.edu/students/admissions/application.htm:

  • Fill application out completely and accurately

  • On top of application write: PAT and date an time of exam you want

  • Print a copy and fax it to 714 564-6850 (make sure you include signature and date) or

  • Print a copy and mail it to the Santa Ana College, Admissions Office, 1530 W. 17th Street, Santa Ana, Ca 92706

Note:  Registration will be blocked until the Admissions Office receives a signed copy of the Application.

2.  PAT Registration

  • Once the Admissions Office has your application

  • Online and telephone registration

    Log onto www.sac.edu

    Click on Admissions

    On the left side of page in the gray area Click on the Register for Classes

    Under Registration for Classes, click on Online Registration OR Telephone Registration.

    Under the title ONLINE RECORDS SYSTEM there are two buttons click on Online Records.

    This will bring up a place for you to type in your student ID and your pin #.

    Note:  Your student ID is your social security number and your pin # is your birth month 01, 02, 03 and your birth year 70, 71, 72, or 73, etc. (two spaces for month, two spaces for year)

    If the class is full, the computer will ask you if you want to be on the Wait List. 

    Note:  This class does not use the Wait List Option.

3.  To Drop

  •  Click on the Drop Now box.

4.  Day of Test

  • Show up early to the testing site listed below:

  • No parking on C.N. facility, businesses next door or across the street.  Park on adjacent streets and obey all Huntington Beach parking regulations or your car will be towed or ticketed and your certificate destroyed.

 

  • Bring

  • Picture I.D.

  • Proof of registration.

  • Water and food.

  • Wear:  Exercise attire.

 

  • Length of test: Test will take four (4-6) hours depending on number of participants.

NOTE: All participants must register and pay their fees in advance to participate. Those not registered cannot participate.  Proctors are assigned according to the number of pre-registered candidates..

1.       How do I register?  Go to www.sac.edu

  • Apply on line

  • Follow-up with a signed application.

  • register and pay fee with credit card.

  • No adds on site.

  • Registration closes on Friday at 10:00 a.m. prior to the test date.

2.  Should I drop if I’m unable to attend?  Yes.

  • Go back on line and drop.

  • This will enable someone else to attend.

  • This will take your name off the no show list.

3.   Should I put my name on the waiting list if class is full?  No, the wait list will not be used.          

  • Once the class is full all students will be denied access.    

  • The limit is firm, no exceptions

  • Students will not be allowed to participate without first registering.

  • Students should check the registration line regularly for open spots.

  • No adds on site.  

 4.  What should I bring?  Picture I.D.

  • Conformation Card if received

  • Equipment is provided, but participants can bring

  • Turnout coats (only) with liners

  • Gloves  (structure type)

  • Knee pads and shin guards

  • Helmets without face pieces

5.  What time should I arrive?  On time or early.

  • There is a parking problem in Huntington Beach. 

  • Give yourself plenty of time to get to the facility

  • Park legally or get dropped

  • If you’re late for the class, you will not be allowed to participate.

  • No student parking on facility

6.  How long will I be expected to stay?  This is a 4-6 hour class.

  •  The morning students must help reset events for afternoon participants

  • The afternoon students must help the instructors secure props.

  • No one can leave until certificates are distributed.

 7.  When will I receive my certificate?  At the event.

  •  Student’s name and Social Security number will appear on the certificate

  • Address will be taken from the application on file

  • Make sure that information is correct

8.  What should I wear?   Comfortable sports wear with tennis shoes.

  • Huntington Beach is usually 10 degrees cooler than other parts of O.C.

  • You will be standing around before and after events.

9.      Can I bring a friend or can I just come and watch?  NO

  • Liability and Safety issues.
