Home Economics Degree (SAC 0545)
The associate degree curriculum in home economics prepares
students to transfer into a curriculum at a four-year institution leading to a
baccalaureate degree. The educational background in art, science and consumer
affairs prepares the home economist for a wide variety of career opportunities
in business, industry, education and government. Areas of emphasis include
fashion merchandising, interior design, secondary education, early childhood education,
food in business and industry, consumer services and textiles and clothing.
