 The adult high school diploma program will

  • prepare and award students to earn a High School Diploma.
  • help students to increase their reading, writing, grammar and math
  • increase reading/writing and math skills to improve workplace

How do I register?

Meet with a Counselor. Call for an appointment at CEC (714) 241-5720 or at SAC (714)241-5798. 
How Much Does It Cost?
Santa Ana College School of Continuing Education offers a free high school diploma program. All classes are 100% free.

Must I take the placement test?

 Yes. The test will help us decide the correct course for success. 

What is the difference between the Adult High School Diploma program and GED?

A student earns a high school diploma after completing 160 units and 3 proficiencies. The GED consists of five tests that will award a certificate of completion. Click here for

Does previous schooling count?

 Yes. Bring in your high school transcripts and a counselor can evaluate them.

Does previous foreign schooling count?

Yes. Bring in your foreign high school transcripts to be evaluated by the counselor.

How long does it take to graduate and how do I advance to complete credits?

Graduation depends on completion of credits and proficiencies, you must come in and do 24 hours of class time for every 5 credits.

When do you get the diploma?

You get a diploma as soon as you finish with all requirements. 

Do you have a graduation ceremony?

Yes, we have a graduation ceremony where you are welcome to participate in the event to listen to speeches, take pictures, attend a reception, and pick up your diploma.
