Teaching Staff
All teachers are experienced early childhood educators who participate in a continuous program of educational development through in-service, college classes, and professional organizations. All teachers possess a child development permit, which authorizes them to teach young children. Most have a bachelor or master’s degree in early childhood education.
Child/Adult Ratios
We pride ourselves on our low teacher/child ratio, which allows us more opportunity to provide individual attention for each child. For the safety of your child, RSCCD follows Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing regulations that require staff members to complete a rigorous background screening, which includes screening for criminal records. The CareGiver Background Check Process as determined by the California Department of Social Services is included in the Appendix. In addition, all staff members have a health screening and T.B. test.
The ratios for RSCCD Child Development Centers are as follows:
· 1 Adult - 3 Infants (6-18 months of age);
· 1 Adult - 4 Toddlers (18-36 months);
· 1 Adult - 8 Preschool children (36-60 months).
