First Semester ‒ Information for the SAC Nursing Program

This information is regarding 1st semester entry only.

Selection to the first semester of the Nursing Program is through a Multi-criteria admission process. To view Multi-Criteria admission process and point breakdown, click on the link below.

Multi-Criteria admission process

Applications for first semester entry are accepted twice a year: February 15th - March 2nd for entry to a Fall semester and September 15th - 30th for entry to a Spring semester. Click on the link below for the SAC Nursing Program multi-criteria application for Fall 2016 entry.

1st Semester Nursing Application Fall 2016 entry

Applications must be turned in, received by, or postmarked by 5:00pm March 2nd to the Health Sciences/Nursing Office to be considered for Fall 2016 entry.

If there is any change in address, name, and/or phone number, the student must notify the Nursing Office in writing. If we are unable to contact you by phone and/or mail, your application will not be considered. Additionally, it is the student’s responsibility to notify the college of those same changes.

Note of Clarification: LVN's are accepted ONLY to third semester

Students who obtain an LVN license while on the 2nd semester waitlist will be automatically moved to the bottom of our 3rd semester waitlist as 3rd semester is the entry point for LVN's. A new prerequisite verification form will need to be submitted along with a copy of the LVN License. The Role Transition course, N-RN 200, is required prior to entering the program.
